Florence Bagosy Obituary

Florence W. (Dietterich) Bagosy, 100, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed to her heavenly reward Monday, February 2, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Paul M. Bagosy.

Born October 29, 1925 in North Wales, PA, she was the eldest child and only daughter of the late Walter and Mabel Dietterich.

She is survived by her only son, Martin Bagosy (late Mary Kathryn) of Sarasota, FL; her granddaughter, Casey Buchanan (Mike) of New Jersey; her great-grandchildren Beau and Bella Buchanan; and two of her five brothers, Pastor Charles Dietterich (late Ginny) of Punta Gorda, FL, and James Dietterich (Ruth), of Hatfield, PA; as well as beloved niece Brenda Crowe and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brothers Stanley Dietterich (Dee), Robert Dietterich (Elaine) and Thomas Dietterich (Marne).

Florence was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of the wonderful Victory Baptist Church congregation in Port Charlotte, FL, for many years. Her friends, family and dear shepherds there will miss her but give thanks to the Lord for Florence's salvation in Christ.

Florence treasured many friends as family and was well-loved, maintaining friendships over decades and despite far distance. Her dear friends at Heritage Oak Park will cherish memories of lunches, playing Hand & Foot and Mexican Train. Florence was well-travelled during her younger years, and in recent years often enjoyed a challenging jigsaw puzzle with her brother, watching HGTV, and was an ardent Anglophile. We are blessed to have had her 100 years.

A memorial will be held at Victory Baptist Church (FL) on February 22, 2026. Burial services will be held at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, PA at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
