Morris Grace Obituary

TUSCALOOSA Morris Wayne Grace, age 77, of Tuscaloosa, died April 26, 2007, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today, April 28, 2007, at Little Hurricane Baptist Church with Dr. John Scott officiating and Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

His father, Tom Grace, his stepfather, Ed Simmons, his brother, Joel Grace, his sister, Tommie Sue Grace Thorpe, and his mother, Vera Grace Simmons, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Gary Wayne Grace (Tammy) of Brookwood, Ala.; sisters, Betty (George) Lewis of Cottondale, Ala. and Linda (Larry) Holloway of Brookwood, Ala; brother, James E. Simmons of Gordo, Ala.; sister-in-law, Maudie Grace of Virginia; and granddaughter, Morgan Alise Grace of Brookwood, Ala.

Mr. Grace was a graduate of Brookwood High School. He was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces serving in the U.S. Army from 1947-1948 and the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 123.

Pallbearers will be George Lewis, Eric Lewis, Lance Holloway, Bon Hyche, Tracy Hyche and Larry Holloway.

Honorary pallbearers are friends and family, friends of Clara Verner Towers, Dr. Hill, Dr. Fulgham, and Dr. David.
