William Scheely Obituary
COLONIE - William E. "Bill" Scheely passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 13, 1949, to the late Hope Teller and John Scheely. He was predeceased by his brother, John Scheely; and grandson, Logan Downer.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Faith A. Scheely; his loving children, Andrea Scheely, Sean (Faith) Scheely, and William Scheely; his loving stepdaughter, Sonya Smith; mother-in-law, Marie Trifilo; his cherished grandchildren, Savannah, Ava, Jamison, Robert, and Peyton; his sister-in-law, Joyce Scialdone (Bruce Thompson); and several nieces and nephews.
Bill retired from the City of Albany Parks and Rec. Dept.
There will be a viewing from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 6, at Magin and Keegan Funeral Home, 891 Madison Ave., Albany, N.Y. 12208. Funeral service and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, at 139 S. Lake Ave., Albany, N.Y. 12208.
