KENNETH DEWAYNE YARDLEY Marion Kenneth Dewayne Yardley, 74, of Marion, Iowa, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022. Ken's family is hosting a Celebration of Life that will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at RWDSU Local 110 Union Hall, 526 F Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family. Ken was born Oct. 7, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Lorm Yardley and Georgia Fay (Moore) Meyer. He graduated from Washington High School in 1965 and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Ken worked as a machinist, later working as a night stocker at Hy-Vee. He loved watching golf and football, bowling, playing board games and cards. He was an avid Hawkeye fan. Ken enjoyed spending time at the shooting range, taking part in shooting competitions and having fun at Meskwaki. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandkids and watching their activities. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his children, Cindy First, Dianna (Andrew) Forman, Brian (Amy) Yardley; and grand-children, Austin, Katelyn, Madeline, Keegan and Tobias.
