Randy Stevens Obituary

Lyman - Randy Jake Stevens, age 56, a Lyman, Washington resident, passed away September 7, 2024 doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle. He was born September 21, 1967 in Mount Vernon, WA to Ronald and Ruthie (Stiles) Stevens, joining an older brother, R. C. When he was two, the family was joined by another brother, Rick.

In 1970, the family moved to Belle Fourche, South Dakota for 22 years. Growing up, Randy was always willing to work and never lacked for a job including delivering papers, working at a wool warehouse, earning the money for his first motorcycle in 1979. When Randy was 15, he bought a 1965 Mustang which was his pride and joy. He also worked on a ranch, drove a truck and worked at a gas station. He spent two years installing siding in Nebraska after high school. In 1989, he moved back to Washington and worked as a carpenter until he started his own business in 1996. In 1997, Randy married Neenia Stewart Batterbury gaining a ten year old step-son, Sean. To that marriage, three sons were born, Jake Hayden in 1997; Kyle Morgan in 1999; Logan Ray in 2001. Randy grew up with a love for the outdoors, including quad riding, motorcycling, hunting, fishing and boating. He was also a pool shark and a master craftsman with an amazing smile, sure to make a friend no matter where he went.

Randy is survived by his three sons, Jake, Kyle and Logan; granddaughter, Haisley Ruth; parents, Ron and Ruthie; siblings, Rick, Mike and Dan; cousins, Don, Wes, Londa, Tim and many other cousins and friends whom he loved; special girl, B. B. the dog.

He was preceded in death by his gramps, Jake Stevens; gram, Mary Benecke; brothers, Steve and R. C.

I heard this weekend of Randy´s untimely passing and I can only say as a casual friend and sometimes work acquaintance what a truly nice person he was.
You meet a lot of people in life and there are some that leave a mark. Randy did that. Thank you Randy for the acquaintance, the kindness and the good nature of a kind soul.
