Amy Schmidt Obituary

Amy Beth Schmidt, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, aunt, and niece passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, at the age of 42. Amy was born on December 29, 1980, in Cleveland, Ohio.Amy's memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband of 18 years, Jacob Schmidt, and her children, Madison and Luke Schmidt. She was the epitome of a devoted spouse and a nurturing mother, always providing love and support to her family.Amy will also be mourned by her siblings: David (Maria) Covelli, Gina Covelli, Dawn (Bill) Bowles, Brian (Jessi) Wilson, Cindy (J.R.) Drake, Terri Timoneri, and Bill Wilson Jr. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of her numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever remember the warmth and love she bestowed upon them.Amy was preceded in death by her father, William H. Wilson, mother, Elaine T. Wilson, brother, Douglas Covelli and beloved grandmother, Helen Dybzinski.In her free time, Amy cherished her hobbies, particularly crafting and dedicating herself to supporting her children and their activities. Her creativity and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.Friends and family are invited to pay their final respects at the visitation, which will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.A celebration of Amy's life and legacy will take place on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:00 am, also at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home.

Amy helped to train me while I was working at Ohio Department of Health during covid. I'm so shocked to hear of her passing! She was a joy to work with. Sending heartfelt condolences to her family, of which she was very proud.
