Steve was an amazing guy! So many great memories that I will never forget. He had and always will hold a special place in my heart. I met Steve in Milpitas, CA in 1979 at Mission Lanes. Later both our family´s moved to Colorado Springs. We continue to stay friends even after I moved from Colorado. My heart goes out to Shawn, Sandy and the rest of the family. .

Steven and I were about the same age, and the Anderson's lived in the same court as my family back in the '70's. My mom had baby sat Steven for some time as his mother, Vera worked outside the house. Steven and his siblings were all close with us. Steven's brother Mike was friends with my brother, Manuel. I remember a time when Steven wore these white boots. I liked them, so he'd let me wear them around the house. I remember Steven as being very smart; one time I went through my pockets and brought out acorns that I used to feed the squirrels. I had told Steven that I found them all along Trimble Street - that there were many Acorn trees on that street. Without laughing or making fun of me, he informed me that the acorns came from Oak trees. Our family's thoughts, memories and prayers to Steven's family in Colorado, his siblings including Sandy and her family here in San Jose.

My sincere condolences to Steven's family, sister Sandy, and friends. My family lived across the street from the Anderson's in San Jose, and we were friends with his entire family. Steven was a wonderful young man who was very active in sports and skate boarding. As a young adult, he was an avid bowler at Mission Lanes in Milpitas where he and I were on opposing teams. Aside from being an excellent bowler, he was a very good sport.
May God Bless Steven, Sandy, and his entire family.
