Norene Alford Obituary

Norene Elizabeth Alford, age 95 of Delight, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Dierks. She was born on July 14, 1929 near Delight, the daughter of the late Milo Conatser and Nora Carr Conatser.

Mrs. Alford was a housewife and a homemaker. She loved working around her home and especially on the lawn. Even into her later years, she could be found trimming hedges or mowing on her John Deere tractor. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost fifty-five years, J.W. Alford; a son, Larry Alford Sr., as well as several siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Alford; three grandsons, Larry J. Alford Jr. of Delight, Ryan Alford and his wife, Tina, of Huntington, Indiana, Jason Richardson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one brother, Carmon "Bill" Conaster; special nieces, Tammy and Darlin White of Murfreesboro, several great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

To honor Mrs. Alford’s memory, a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.
