Michael Allen Obituary
Born on September 30, 1960 in Rock Hill, SC, he was the son of Glenda Crawford Allen and the late Henry "Jr." Allen. He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and York Technical College. He was retired from Bowater after 35 years as a superintendent of maintenance. Mr. Allen was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and in other capacities. Mike loved the Lord, his family, the farm, coaching his grandson, Jase in youth baseball, and being a spectator of Henley playing softball.
Services for Mr. Allen will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Harmony Baptist Church, 5403 Harmony Road, Edgemoor, SC, with the Rev. Woody Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, October 7 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732
He is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Kim Ellis Allen; one son, Travis (Candace); one daughter, Taylor, both of Catawba; two grandchildren, Jase Wayne Allen and Henley Grace Allen; his mother, Glenda Allen; one brother, Glenn Allen of Catawba; one sister, Terri Allen Murphy (Pat) of Edgemoor, SC; three nieces; two nephews; seven great nieces; and two great nephews. Mike touched countless lives and was a father figure to several very special people.
Memorials can be made to the building fund at Harmony Baptist Church, 5403 Harmony Church Rd, Edgemoor, SC 29712.
