It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catalina Narvaez de Aguirre, a beloved mother and grandmother who left us peacefully on June 23, 2024, at the age of 95. Catalina was born on April 30, 1929 to her loving parents Eustacio and Maria de Jesus Narvaez.
Catalina, known as Dona Cata, dedicated her life to her family, instilling values of kindness, generosity, and hard work. She married Jose Manuel Aguirre 1949, and together they raised their family on a ranch near Brackettville, Texas. Their enduring marriage of 50 years is a testament to their unwavering commitment to family.
As a devoted mother, Dona Cata raised five children: Armando, Roberto, Antonio, Ignacio and Elsa. Her children remember her as a patient and nurturing mother.
Dona Cata's love extended beyond her children to her grandchildren, who adored their "Welita" or "Welly."
Dona Cata is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Manuel, her parents, Eustacio and Maria de Jesus Narvaez, siblings Eulalio Narvaez, Lilia Martinez, sons Armando Aguirre, Jesus Manuel Aguirre and grandson Alvaro Flores.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Roberto Aguirre (wife Eresmi, deceased), Antonio Aguirre (wife, Praxedis), Ignacio Aguirre, and daughter Elsa Flores (husband Santiago), her daughter in law Adelina Aguirre, her grandchildren Alma Rosa, Norma, Armando Jr., Jesus Manuel, Nancy, Olga, Hilda, Roberto Jr., Myra, Cecilia, Isabel, Rolando, Elizabeth, Ignacio Jr., Miguel, Jose, Clarisa, Adan, Santiago Jr., Jose, Yesenia, numerous great grandchildren and brothers Porfirio and Ramiro Narvaez.
A Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will follow.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
Con tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Catalina Narvaez de Aguirre, una madre querida, abuela y bisabuela, quien nos dejó el 23 de junio de 2024 a la edad de 95 años. Dona Cata nació el 30 de abril del 1929 en San Vicente, Municipio de Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico, hija amada de Eustacio y Maria De Jesus Narvaez.
Dona Cata dedicó su vida a su familia, inculcando valores de bondad, generosidad y el trabajar duro. Se casó con su amor de la adolescencia, Jose Manuel Aguirre Martinez, en 1949, y juntos construyeron un hogar lleno de amor y calidez. Crearon a su familia en un rancho fuera de la cuidad de Brackettville, Texas. Su matrimonio, que duró 50 años, es un testimonio de su compromiso a la familia.
Como madre, Dona Cata crió a cinco hijos: Armando, Roberto, Antonio, Ignacio y Elsa. Sus hijos la recuerdan como una madre paciente y cariñosa.
El amor de Dona Cata se extendió más allá de sus hijos. Ella adoraba a sus nietos quienes la conocian como "Welita" o "Welly".
Dona Cata fue precedida en muerte por su esposo, Jose Manuel, sus padres, Eustacio y Maria de Jesus Narvaez, hermanos Eulalio Narvaez, Lilia Martinez, hijos Armando Aguirre, Jesus Manuel Aguirre y nieto Alvaro Flores.
Le sobreviven sus hijos, Roberto Aguirre (difunta esposa Eresmi), Antonio Aguirre (y su esposa Praxedis), Ignacio Aguirre, y hija Elsa Flores (esposo Santiago) y su nuera Adelina Aguirre así como sus nietos, Alma Rosa, Norma, Armando Jr., Jesus Manuel, Nancy, Olga, Hilda, Roberto Jr., Myra, Cecilia, Isabel, Rolando, Elizabeth, Ignacio Jr., Miguel, Jose, Clarisa, Adan, Santiago Jr., Jose, Yesenia, bisnietos, tataranietos, y hermanos Porfirio y Ramiro Narvaez.
