I grew up in the same neighborhood as the Cormack family and knew them as I was in the Boy Scout troop when Mr. William Cormack was the Scoutmaster. His leadership helped make us better scouts and young men when he later started an Explorer Post. I still remember exiting camping trips and also a trip to learn about the Zion Nuclear Power Plant while it was under construction.
May the Lord welcome him and bring comfort and peace to his family.

My husband and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Bill's wife, Judy and his entire family on his passing. I worked as a secretary at Commonwealth Edison back in the 1970's and had the pleasure of working for Bill while I was there. He was an extremely pleasant and gracious man. He and Judy were at our wedding 41 years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. Rest in peace Bill.

Mr. Cormack selected me for my first management position. He was always my mentor and looked out for me throughout my career. I am respectfully sending my thoughts and prayers to the Cormack family - he was a great man.

I remember Bill as a strong leader and thoughtful listener, not afraid to make hard decisions. Always with a smile, he got involved with matters, he cared about people, and was a mentor in the community.

Bill Cormack was my boss at ComEd twice during my 32-year career with the company. As Commercial Manager in Northern Division and Division Vice President at Chicago North, he distinguished himself as a charismatic leader, fair decision maker, responsible steward of resources, and engaging friend. No matter how complex the situation, he always knew what to do, delegated skillfully, and controlled the process. A mentor that will be missed.

Bill was a great friend and Arlington neighbor. Everyone should be so lucky to call Bill a friend. He was also a great guy to work with at Com Ed. Everyone liked Bill. He will be missed

When I was a kid Dad used to take me to the library in Arlington Heights. When I grew up I work in libraries for many years. He would also read to us kids before bedtime. He was a wonderful father.
One more memory, in my 20s I would run into people that knew Dad. They recognized my last name. They always told me what a Great Guy he was. They were right!
