DAN BOWDEN Obituary

I used to play Guitar with Dan in 7th Grade when we were kids. I went to Jr. High and High school with him. I remember he used to skip high school sometimes just to play Guitar all day. (I´m not sure this is the same Dan Bowen but it sounds like it) in the early 80´s he used to play with his band in bars around Flint, Michigan. His father didn´t really like that because he was afraid Dan might develop a drinking problem, since he was spending a lot of time in bars. His father used to own a small restaurant. Where he sold Pot Pies. I really liked them. My family used to get them once a month or so. (Can someone tell me is this the same Dan Bowden?) (818) 620-3727

Dan, funny, kind, talented and gone too soon. My sincere condolences to Dan´s lovely family and I hope you find comfort in your shared memories. He was one great guy.

My condolences to Caroline, Calum, and Chloe. Sharing the PTO play stage with Dan was an unforgettable experience-- he inspired me to "go electric" on the trumpet. Hearing him perform was a joy.

Dan was a generous musical talent, bringing out the best in everyone in the PTO play. With Kashmir, All You Need is Love, Rockin' Robin, Ghost Riders in the Sky, I Feel Pretty, Hey Ya' and many, many gems drawn from a deep catalog of musical history, Dan brought the boogie to hundreds of kids and parents over the years. He was a joy to know.

I met Dan in the early 70´s when he was a sophomore and I was a junior at Flint Northern High School. I´m sorry to say I completely lost contact with him soon after we left Northern but I´m not surprised to hear about his many musical accomplishments. He was a friendly funny talented rock-and-roll kid. I´d like to think Dan took a guitar with him to play a few tunes and hang out with our late great mutual friend, Rich Frost. My condolences to Dan´s family and all those who loved him.

I haven´t seen Dan in quite a while. I was his children´s preschool teacher. I always enjoyed talking to him about music. He was such a great dad as well. My deepest condolences to Caroline, Chloe and Calum.

Our heartfelt condolences to Caroline, Calum and Chloe. Dan was a wonderful, talented friend and neighbor who gave our kids guitar lessons many years ago. We remember him fondly and may he rest in peace.

Wow, Dan was the BEST! Great guitarist and musician, husband and father, so kind and patient! Loved working with him at the Lawrence school doing the PTO plays, so much fun and musically instructional, he will be greatly missed.....
