THOMPSON, Jessie Lorna:

On Monday, March 29, 2021, at Anthony Wilding Hospital, peacefully in her sleep. Loved wife of the late Lin, much loved and respected mother of Liz Hoani and David Roddick, the late Sue, Lorna Thompson and Bruce Maclennan, and James and Joanne Thompson. Loved grandmother and great-grandmother of Jeremy and Michelle Hoani, Mia and Lilly; Jessica and Ashley Rees, Millie and Maddy; James Thompson; Sam Maclennan and Jackson Wright; and Ellie Maclennan and Gretha Conrads. Loved by her extended family – Beth and Lionel Funnell, Norma and Pat Whitehead, Russell and Beverley Thompson, and their families, the Olsen family, and Gerald and Patricia Smith. Jessie gave 90 years of service to education, sports and administration, prison advocacy and the community, all the while actively involved in her family's lives. The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the team at Anthony Wilding who took such great care of her, as well as Doctors Mark Cohen and Paul O'Gorman. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Jessie Thompson, c/- P.O. Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude Association would be appreciated, and may be made at the service. The Funeral service for Jessie will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch, next Saturday, April 10, at 2.00pm.
