William Walter (Bill):
(Reg. No. N618764, 26th Battalion, NZ Army) Peacefully at Christchurch Hospital on Friday, January 28, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family, in his 99th year. Dearly and forever loved husband of Lyn, loved father and father-in-law of Gary (deceased), Judy Nally, Craig and Elsa, and Kristine and Henry Bettle, a loving granddad and Peepo of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sincere thanks to Dr Mark Sycamore and the team at Mairehau Medical Centre for their total dedication and superb care of Bill. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Bill Wright, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. Due to current restrictions on large gatherings, there is a limit of 100 attendees. If you would like to attend the Celebration of Bill's life, on Friday, February 4, please email the family at [email protected]. Vaccine passes are required.

To Bill's family, my deepest sympathy. I had the pleasure of know Bill when he was at the Mount Cook Travel Office in Timaru and later when he moved to Christchurch and did school runs for Mount Cook Landlines. An absolute gentleman and a wonderful work colleague . RIP.
