Valmai CALLON Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Strathallan Lifecare Timaru, on Friday, February 27, 2026, aged 90 years. Loved wife of 68 years to the late Ken, loved sister of Marge and the late Beverley. Much-loved mother, mother-in-law, and Nanny, of Dave, Clare, and Brooke; Ross, Jill, and Sam; and Phil, Blair, Lily, and Mac. Loved sister-in-law and aunt to her wider family; a loved teacher; and a tramping and walking companion to many dear friends. In keeping with Valmai's wishes a private cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date; details to follow. The family give thanks for the kindness and support shown to Valmai, and the late Ken, by Presbyterian Support carers, and by their many adored friends who sustained them both for so long with kindness, visits, and support. Messages to Dave Callon, 18 Napier Street, Belleknowes, Dunedin 9011.

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear mother!
We were great friends at O.G.H.S and played hockey in the same team! We were also in the same form throughout high school.
She was a lovely person with many abilities which Valmai shared willingly and with grace! Much love at this time!
