Tui and Pat were our neighbours for many years in Morgan´s Rd in Timaru. The Willocks and Walsh family quickly became good friends. Tui was the most beautiful loving woman and we kids from the Willocks family simply adored her. She was always interested in our lives and in the lives of others. Her active involvement with AFS students over many years is a testament to her ability to relate to people of all ages. Her kindness and genuine love for people has left an unforgettable place in our hearts. We will miss her hugely.

Tui´s love and kindness will always stay in our hearts!

For so many of us AFS students to Timaru, Tui was our absolute rock and best friend. What a blessing it was to know this beautiful lady, I will never forget her and the unbelievable kindness she showed me.

So sad to hear about Tui´s death. Always so kind to the AFS students like me. She will be missed.

I will be thinking of Tui´s family tomorrow and am sorry to be unable to attend her funeral. Tui was so caring with the AFS students, a truly wonderful woman.

Very sad to hear the passing of the wonderful Tui Walsh, we first met Tui when we joined the AFS family over 30 years ago and Tui as always was caring, helpful and showed a genuine interest in all the AFS people she met from all over the world, Tui will be missed greatly

So sad that Tui has gone, she has touched just so many lives within AFS and the community. Our involvement on the Committee in South Canterbury was always at White Star Motel with too much supper. She cared deeply for all her students and was always interested in our students going away. So sorry that we can't be at the funeral, but will live stream it. Fond memories of Tui in our motel days, she was so happy to help and often motel sat for us, a very lovely lady, RIP, Lex and Joan Stanley.

I fond memories of visiting Tui with my Mum at her home on white street. I was in awe of the pen collection behind the reception desk at the motel. She was a good knitting club friend to Mum and always looked after me well when I went along with Mum on non knitting club nights, to discuss knitting problems (I think). She has lived a wonderful life. Rest in peace Tui.
