Trevor HOWIE Obituary

Died peacefully at home on January 20, 2026, after a short illness. Cherished husband of 54 years, and best friend of Marlene. Loved father of Nicola (Wellington), Brent (Motueka), and Cherie (Auckland). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Bevan and Robyn Howie (Waitohi, Temuka), and the late Russell. Loved son of the late Hope and Cyril Howie (formerly of Moneymore, Milton, and Waitohi, Temuka). Loved brother-in-law of Jenni and Noel Nielsen (Darfield), Heather Byrne and Richard Barber (Rangiora), Ruth Reid and Richard Lapthorne (New Brighton), Mike and Kerianne Dawson (Pleasant Point), and Karen and Peter Chapman (Rangiora). Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews, and a good friend to many. Grateful thanks to Nurse Maude and the district nurses for their care. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of his love of animals, donations to petrefuge.org.nz would be appreciated. Messages to 133 Motueka Valley Highway, Motueka. At Trevor's request a private cremation has taken place.
