Thomas MILLIKEN Obituary

Peacefully at The Croft Lorna Home, Timaru, on Saturday, July 26, 2025; aged 84. Much loved husband and soulmate of Judith (Jude). Loved father, father-in-law and pal of Jason, Brett, Charlotte (Charlie) and Fabian Doull. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Janet (dec) and Malcolm Willmott. Loved uncle of Greg (dec), Rob and Sheryl Willmott, and great-uncle of their families. The family wish to celebrate Tom's life, fitting for a social legend, ever the entertainer, full of song and banter. We invite you to share your yarns on the day. The Service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11.30am. A livestream of the service is available, please email [email protected] or call 03 6862148.In lieu of flowers, donations to South Canterbury Alzheimers Society would be much appreciated and can be left at the service. Hey Jason, jude, Brett and Charlotte, lots of memories come up when I heard of Butt's passing. I can still imagine his laugh like it was yesterday. Tom always made me feel welcome and I was comfortable to be myself around him. I remember his cast iron stomach, he would eat anything, he never managed to convince me to eat barracuda. Rest in peace Butt's, love to your family and apologies I won't be able to make it down to the funeral.

Tom was my first boss, many years ago. (1973 in fact). We were well entertained by Tom and his many stories. He was a good boss, had a great knowledge of many things in life, fond memories, he left his mark.
