Thomas Sydney (Tom):
Peacefully surrounded by family at Timaru Hospital on Friday, August 17, 2018, in his 88th year. Dearly loved husband of Gaynor (nee Thomson). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Jan and David Roulston (Timaru), Kaye and Grant Binney (Christchurch), Shelley Bussell (Geraldine), and Paul Bussell (Christchurch). Much loved grandfather of Jarred, Kimberley, and Jacob; Kirsten, and Jenna; and Dean. Loved Great-Grandfather of Zac. Dearly loved brother of Jan Newman (Australia), and loved brother-in-law of Bryan and the late Catherine Thomson (Wellington). The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of ICU Timaru Hospital for their wonderful care of Tom. A Service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Friday, August 24, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Timaru Cemetery. Messages to 52 Macaulay Street, Timaru 7910.

Sad to hear about Tom. A pleasant, gentle man. I worked at the CFCA and knew Tom through that. Deepest sympathy.
