Terence GARVEN Obituary

Terry passed away peacefully at The Croft, Timaru, on September 27, 2024, aged 90 years. Dearly loved husband of Norma for almost 68 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Dianne and Wayne Hanson, Julie Garven and Evan Fraser, Brent and Andrea Garven, and Gaylene and Mark McDonald. Special Grandad of Alana, Shane, Corey, Jason, Candice, Vanessa, Megan, Angela, Esther, Ryan and Jaynie, and a beloved Great-Grandad of 19. A Memorial service for Terry will be held at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North Street, Timaru, on Thursday, October 3, at 1.30pm. A livestream will be available. Special thanks to the staff at the Croft for their wonderful care of Terry. Messages can be sent to The Garven Family, c/- PO Box 772. Timaru, 7940.

Our sincere condolences to all Terry's family and loved ones. I've only just found out about Terry's passing and would just like to say that I worked with Terry for around 20 years and he was a lovely, friendly, salt-of-the-earth man. It was a privilege and a pleasure to have known him and worked with him.
