Sydney SIMPSON Obituary
Sydney Earnest (Syd):
Born June 10, 1938, in Comber, Northern Ireland. Passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, after a courageous battle surrounded by his family. Dearly loved husband of Fay, loved and adored father of Vicky O'Connor, Julie James and the late Gavin Simpson. Respected father-in-law and greatly admired by Damian James. Treasured Granddaddy of Bridgette, Genevieve, Siobhan and Emily O'Connor and Liam and Tessa James. Loved son of the late William and Elizabeth Simpson of Ballyalloly and cherished brother of his 10 siblings and extended Irish family. In respect of Sydney's wishes a private cremation has been held. A memorial service to celebrate Sydney's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Monday, August 15, at 11.00am. In lieu of flowers donations to South Canterbury Hospice would be gratefully accepted and may be left at the service. Messages to 539 Rolling Ridges Road, RD 5, Timaru 7975.

Do sorry to hear of another family member passing. I haven't seen sydney in years but I remember him and his sweet smile. I know he is with the rest of the Simpsons and having a wonderful time.
