van Venrooij):
Passed away on December 4, 2022. Dearly loved husband of Rosemary (nee Gebbie). Much loved father and father-in-law of Lidwina and Grant, Campbell and Carey, Cathrine, Andy and Joan, Johan and Kally. Best mate of Harvey the dog. Loved Opa of Kyla, George, Isaac, Olivia, Nicholas, Drew, Oliver and Petra, and loved great-grandfather. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Henk and Ruth, Piet and Alie, Corrie and Sjirk, Ellie and Bert, Trees and Aad, Ton and Ada, Johan and Maria, Lidwina and Jan. A Funeral Service will be held at 10.30am on Friday, December 9, at South West Baptist Church, 244 Lyttelton Street, Spreydon, Christchurch. A Memorial will be held at 2.30pm on Saturday, December 10, at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Waimate.

To the Venrooy Family. Sorry for your loss, thinking of you all at this sad time. Pedro has now gone fishing with my Dad (Vern). Sorry that I was unable to attend the Memorial service as I was away but my thoughts were with you all.

Sorry for your loss and God's peace to you all, Mrs Venroy, Lidwina and families. Mr Venroy was always helpful and he often helped out my Mum in Waimate. Our parents had a lot of good times together after Mum and Dad retired in town. He'll be sadly missed - but in a better place.

So sorry for your loss my name is Gregory Chamberlain Steve put me through my apprenticeship painting Alan Jones Ron Arbuckle for workers to he was a good man always had a smile helping others that´s when you live in Opie Street Waimate then he bought Johnson`s colour corner shop and Percy Maguire was doing the glass department we had a lot of good times

Lidwina and family please accept my heartfelt condolences on the death of Dad. A positive hardworking man who supported a wonderful family. My memories of Steve and family go back to the early 1970´s in Waimate. In particular 1973 when I was your teacher Lidwina at Waimate Centennial School. Your Dad was so supportive of that great school.
