Knew Simon back in the day, this is his car at our place 'Orange Roughy II' Although haven't seen Simon ir Paula for decades, it hurts to know someone else was suffering. May he rest in peace now, take care Paula and family xx

Alot of us have shared stories with each other over the last week, from your nick name onion ring whilst working at le cren st takeaways, to our car accident after you picked me up from home in the holden Gem. To your theme music everytime you turned up at paddock racing "thunderstruck" by acdc. To your checky grin after chasing us in wanaka one Christmas period. So many memories to treasure. You are one of a kind Si, a friend to all who crossed your path. You have left a huge hole in the hearts of everyone you touched with your cheeky grin and humour. And you will be greatly missed. See you on the other side my friend.

It's hard knowing someone who shared so much happiness and comradery with so many people is gone. Meeting Simon was a life changing event for the better. My condolences to all those affected.

R.i.p simon, will always remember the good old days watching u racing, and having some drinks, and being happy. Condolences to the family.

What a huge loss my thoughts are with family, such a thoughtful and caring person, a great loss to all that knew him. Gone too soon

My best memory with Simon was when he was 13 and his brother Jason at my home with Gary his Dad. He came up to Christchurch to stay for awhile with us, He brought up his remote fuel powered track car, we went to a BMX track to race it! We all had fun together that Special day for me! and in remembering him for his love of cars so early on. Oh Yeah and his sense of humor like his Dad's. Both now Rest in Peace!!! Till the restored human condition is completed. With heartfelt feelings of loss and sadness, I say see you later step Brother!

Hi Yvonne and Jason, am sorry to hear the loss of Simon and condolences to you all. I know it is hard to lose someone precious like him and that can never be replaced, I am sad to hear of his loss and the sad thing it happened on my birthday, I know Yvonne that you and Mum were best of friends, just like Jason and Simon were like extended family to our family, and I remember the good and bad times with Simon but despite everything, I still regard you all as family whether or not it's true but our condolences go out you all and wish that we still kept in contact. I just know that Simon was a loveable person, and he will be missed, by us all. I was deeply shocked and heartbroken to hear the news.
Si touched so many lives with his kindness and beautiful spirit. His memory will live on in all of us who were blessed to know him.
