Peacefully in the care of Addington Gardens Care Centre, Christchurch on February 13, 2025, in her 94th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Howard (Pop), loved mother and mother-in-law of Lynette Donaldson (deceased), Russell (deceased) and Beryl, Richard (deceased) and Jess, Jayne and Mark Pescini, Dave and Steph and a loved Nan of all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. A service for Ruth will be held at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North St, Timaru on Thursday, February 20, at 1.00pm, followed by private cremation. Messages to the Ireton family C/- PO Box 772, Timaru 7940.

I only got to know Ruth when I moved into Addington Gardens, 18 months ago. She was a lovely lady, it was a privilege to know her. She walked round most days and chatted to us all.

To Jayne and Mark, Dave and Steph and families. Dear Howard and Ruth were a beautiful couple. I remember so well their kindness and care, their fellowship and hearts of love for so many.
