Ross UNDERWOOD Obituary

Ross's Mom and my folks were close friends and Ross and I apart from sharing great times in scouting especially when on camp, were both members of the Hillsborough Cricket club. Our team had a very successful run of winning the competition for six years before we all got to old to chase the little red ball around. Ross looked after me when I first arrived in England and upon my return in New Zealand spent a number of memorable years getting together. I'm just sorry that I didn't get one last chance to get together with you but will treasure those times that we had.

We met at school in 1948, were in cubs and scouts together, reunited again Wellington and kept in touch until you moved to Timaru. Lots of fun and experiences together over the many years, such as our bike trip from Dunedin to Invercargill as teenagers. You will be sadly missed.

Your kindness after the February earthquake will not be forgotten. You had an interesting life including extended overseas holidays. You loved your cricket, rugby and playing bowls and bridge.
