Peacefully at Calvary Hospital on Sunday, October 22, 2023, after a short illness. In his 93rd year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Phyl for 57 years, dearly loved and cherished father, father-in-law and friend of Ronnie (dec), Lynette, Dianne Bailey, Debbie and Grant Findley, Philip and Dawn (Christchurch), also the late Barry Bailey. Much loved and adored Grandad of Carla and Ricky, Caleb and Nikki, Monique and Sammy; Nathan and Merissa, Jarad and Gillian; Samantha and Quintin, Joseph and Natalie; Deanna, Hayley and Ken. Loved great-Grandad of Paige, Abel, Georgia, Noah, Flynn, Lincoln, Hudson, Mila, Paigan, and William. Loved brother-in-law of Garth Drain, Murray Drain, and Ann Stoddart and a loved Uncle. At Peace, Perfect Peace. A service for Ron will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Friday, October 27 at 1.30pm, followed by an interment at the Eastern Cemetery.
