On January 1, 2013, peacefully, tenderly cared for by the staff of Strathallan Lifecare, in his 88th year; dearly loved and loving husband of Veda for over 63 years, a much-loved father and father-in-law of Janet and Derek Borland (Blenheim), Gillian and Neil Hyndman (Waipara), and Andrew (Christchurch), loving granddad of Elizabeth and Joanna, Mathew and Edward, a proud great-granddad of Madeleine and Harriet, loved brother and brother-in-law of the late Betty and Bill Girdler and the late Shirley Kirby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated and can be left at the service. Messages to: 6 Peel View Place, Timaru. A service to celebrate the life of Roger will be held at Strathallan Lifecare Lounge, 31 Konini Street, Timaru, this day (Saturday, January 5, 2013), at 1.30pm there after private.
