Ronald Diarmid (Ron) QSM, MB ChB UNZ, MRCGP, FRCGP, FRACGP (Hon), FRNZCGP, (late of Port Chalmers, Mosgiel, and Christchurch):
On January 10, 2013, peacefully at Villa Gardens, Christchurch, surrounded by family, aged 92 years; loving husband of Angela (deceased), much-loved father of Wendy Perriam (Perth), Anna Cahill (Brisbane), and Ian (Villa Gardens), much loved grandfather of Hamish (Bridgetown, WA), Chris (Perth), Rebecca (Murchison, Victoria), Sonia (Shanghai), Karl (Christchurch), and Dominique (Gold Coast), much-loved great-grandfather of Heidi, Bethany, Blake; Jade, Billy; Zali, Asha, Elise; and Amity. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Ronald MacDiarmid, c/o PO Box 9327, Addington, Christchurch. No flowers by request. Donations to The Order of St John may be made at the service in Christchurch. Donations to Otago Hospice may be made at the service in Dunedin. The funeral service in Christchurch will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside on Tuesday, January 15, at 2pm. The funeral service in Dunedin will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, corner Andersons Bay Road and Oxford Street, Dunedin, on Friday, January 18, at 1pm, followed by private interment.
