Robert MATTHEWS Obituary

Passed away at Strathallan Lifecare, Timaru, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025; aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband of Margaret for 61 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Bob and Diane, Mel and Grant Stericker, and grandad of Aimee, and Lachie, Alana and Blair Routhan, and loved great-grandad of Britta, and Beau. Special thanks to the dedicated caregivers and nurses of the Ailsa Bailey Home at Strathallan Lifecare for your care of Geoff and the support you provided Margaret and the wider family while Geoff was in your care, it was very much appreciated. In keeping with Geoff's wishes, a private family service has been held. Messages to: Villa 56, 420 Wai iti Road, Timaru 7910.

To Margaret, Bob, Mel and families.
I'm very sorry to read of Geoff's death recently.
Geoff was a very knowledgeable plantsman in the days of Nikau Nurseries. The business was a credit to Geoff and Margaret over the years serving the people of Timaru as a wonderful garden centre. It was a pleasure to work there.
So pleased we had our reunion together.
Thinking of you all at this sad time.
