Passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2024; aged 61 years. Dearly loved soul mate of Anita for 26 years. Loved father of Joshua, Maggie, and Zane and father-in-law to their partners. Adored "pop pop" of Amber. Dearly loved son of the late Isabella and John. Loved son-in-law of Ruth Kitai. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Helen and Mark Gurnett, Ina Kitai and Brent McMorran, David and Diane Kitai, Mark and Debbie Kitai, and the late Thomas Kitai. Uncle and great-uncle to all his nieces and nephews. A Service to celebrate Rob's life will be held at the Waimate A&P Showgrounds Pavillion, 26 Hakataramea Highway, at 2.00pm Sunday, July 21, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice South Canterbury or the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated and may be left at the service.
