Reg STOKES Obituary
Reg passed away suddenly on August 29, 2022, aged 80. Much loved husband of Margaret (dec). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Nicola and Gary, Karen and Simon, Toby and Carlos, Joanne and Matt. Grandfather of Maighan and Lauchlan. Special thanks to the staff at Glenwood Home who have cared for Dad. A service to celebrate Dad's life will be held at Galbraith Funeral Services in Temuka on Friday, September 2, at 11.00am.

Reg and I were both born same day - 3rd July 1942. Our dads were in the fire brigade. Reg snr. - fire chief - my dad Vern - engine driver. So many fire brigade stories in my memory box. My first job at 14 was with Reg in the bake house and later on - drove the delivery van for weddings / 21st. parties etc. One day - without asking - we took his fathers new Mark 2 Zephyr for a spin and rolled it into a ditch at Thompson's corner down Milford. Our dads not happy !! Fond memories - Rest well Reg .
