Peter PHISKIE Obituary
PHISKIE, Peter Henry:Surrounded by his family at Hospice Southland, on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, aged 65 years. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Yvonne. Loved father and father-in-law of Erica and Shane, Olivia and Shane, and Ryland and Rene. A much loved Opa to Zoe, George, Henry; Chloe and William. A much loved brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Peter's family wish to express their gratitude to ambulance and air ambulance staff, doctors and staff at Christchurch Hospital, especially ward 14, Southland Hospital, Hospice Southland and the staff at Guise Cottage who have been on this journey with us. A service to celebrate Peter's life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Thursday, April 8, at 2.00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland can be made at the service. Messages to Peter's tribute page at frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes where livestream details are available.

I first met him in 1975 in Temuka we became friends and that has never changed. I have a photo of my eldest son standing in Pete’s boots and I thought to myself you will never those boots

To Yvonne and family, my heart goes out to you with the loss of Peter. I remember back to January 1989, when we first walked over the Waituna farm with Peter, looking at the conversion banking proposal. I enjoyed every minute working alongside both Peter & Yvonne, once you have that close bond formed, it's never forgotten. I will always remember Peter's smile and laugh, always positive, and always very passionate about farming. I'll miss him heaps!
