Peter James:
Died peacefully on December 3, 2016, in Christchurch. Beloved husband of Judy, much loved father of Luke, and Mark, and father-in-law of Nuala, and Abigail, adored grandfather of Ruadhán, Maitiú, and Harper, brother to the late Lois, Brian and the late Jan, Barry and Dorine, and brother-in-law to Lance and Anne, uncle to many nieces and nephews. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Peter O'Donnell, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Motor Neurone Disease Association of New Zealand would be appreciated and may be made via their website (www.mnda.org.nz). A Requiem Mass will be Celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 70 Spencer Street, Addington, Christchurch, on Friday, December 9, at 10.00am. The Recitation of the Rosary will be held in the Church on Thursday, Decembe3r 8, at 7.00pm.

Sorry I cannot be at the celebration of your life tomorrow.
I was pleased we had some time together about a month ago reliving some of the good old times. Thanks for the introduction to your family through the photos in your room.
The distance between us since our teen age years meant we never linked as families but I have always respected you and appreciated the legal council you afforded me along with social times in the Irish bar.
I battled with emotion after leaving your room as all of a sudden the memories of our good times were refreshed.
