Peter was in the rescue squad when I joined in the early 90s. Pareora won several competitions with Peter in the team he became team leader after a while and also won the team leader award several times great bloke liked working with him

My condolences go out to all of Petes Family.
It it a sad day for me with LH's passing ,but I will always remember LH as a good mate,a great leader thru our rugby years.

To Scott, Chris and extended families, my sincere condolences to you all with Pete's unexpected passing. I worked with Pete (LH) at Pareora, we had a great bunch of guys there, probably the best working years of my life, playing cards and sports trivia!
Pete had a wealth of sporting knowledge and a great sense of humor.A great guy, one of the best! I will treasure his memory. Thinking of you all at this extremely sad time.Sorry I am unable to attend Pete's service.
