Peter William:
Sadly passed away just before Christmas. Dearly loved son of Winsome. Dearly loved son and stepson of Grant and Julie. Loved little brother and best mate of Chris, loved stepbrother of Ricardo, and fun loving uncle of Holly, Jakob, Xavier and Liam. A service celebrating Peter's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru, on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation. Messages to The Hopkinsons family, c/- Aoraki Funeral Services, PO Box 4091, Highfield, Timaru.

Another leaf has fallen from our family tree,
Our hearts are filled with sorrow and memories not to be.
Each leaf is golden as on an Autumn tree,
Colourful, unique, beautiful and bound with Summer breeze.
Although Peters golden leaf has softly tumbled down,
We can see a vibrant tapestry forming on the ground.
Rich and gleaming memories from the golden leaves shine through,
Forever in our hearts Peter, we will always think of you.

Peter. You were my brother for almost 10 years. Not by blood. But that never mattered. You were always there. Thank you for treating me like nothing less than a sister. All the memories I have will be passed on to the kids. You will never, ever be forgotten. Uncle Peter will live on in the boys and Holly. We will miss you always and you will never be far from our thoughts and will always remain in our hearts. I'm positive my mum has adopted you as her own by now. You are now safe and at peace. We love you uncle peter. May you fly high with sweet freedom. Xoxo
