GILCHRIST, Peter Mervyn:
208621 LCpl Korea. Peacefully at Hospice South Canterbury, on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, aged 92 years. Loving and dearest Peter (PG) of June for 67 years. Loving dad and father-in-law of Carol and David Townsend (Lake Tarawera), Tony and Barbara, Gail and Phil Burtenshaw, Susan, Mark and Rachel. Much loved pop of Callum, Finley and Parehuia, and Tessa; Erica and Pete, Sophie and Hayden, Bridget and Rowan, Annie and Jason, Sequoia and Josh, Acacia and the late Russell; Tim and Lauren, Leeann and Olly; Lachie, and Nate. Loved great-pop of Max; Lexie; Joe, Matilda; and Myles, and the two about to arrive. Loved son of the late Gordon and Margaret, loved brother of Rex and Katie, Marie and Colin Johnson (all deceased), and loved brother-in-law of Terence and the late June Underhill, and a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Donations to Parkinson's South Canterbury would be appreciated and may be left at the Mass. A Funeral Mass for Peter will be celebrated at the Sacred Heart Basilica, Craigie Avenue, Timaru, on Wednesday, September 21 at 1.00pm, followed by an interment at the Timaru Cemetery.
