Michael SHEARS Obituary

Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Hospice South Canterbury, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, aged 71. Partner of Penny, stepfather, and stepfather-in-law of Ali and Luke, Pop of Zoe, and Mason. Son-in-law of the late Les and the late Ann Howard, brother-in-law of Chris, Lesley and Alistair. Cherished youngest son of the late Clarence and the late Joan Shears, brother and brother-in-law of Brian and Jeanette, Graham and Tina, and uncle of Karen, Brent, and Heather. The family sincerely thank St John Ambulance, Cave/Pleasant Point Fire Brigade, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Christchurch Hospital ICU Team, and Hospice South Canterbury for their wonderful care of Mike.
