Michael CASEY Obituary

On December 31, 2024, peacefully at Nazareth House, Christchurch, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Beryl, and formally the late Yvonne. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Robyn, Dean and Elaine, and Clark and Elizabeth. A much loved Grandad of Liam, and Zara; James, Matthew, Jack, and Hannah. Beloved son of the late James and Sophie Casey. A much loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Messages may be addressed to 'The Casey Family' C/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148.

Requiescat in Pace

A Funeral Mass for Mick will be celebrated at the Carmelite Monastery Chapel, 52 Halswell Road, on Tuesday, January 7 at 1.00pm, followed by burial at Waimairi Cemetery, Grahams Road. Recitation of the Rosary will be the Carmelite Chapel, on Monday, January 6 at 7.00p.m.

My condolences and prayers are sent the Casey family on the death of Mick. I remember him as a hard working, caring, and a devoted husband and father and grandfather who was very proud of his family and interested in their life. He was much respected as a longtime parishioner of Leeston Catholic Church. I am in Takaka at the time of Mick's funeral but I will be tinking of you all. Rest in peace with your God. Lynette Windle
