PURCELL, Maurice Edward:
Passed peacefully at Strathallan Lifecare on Friday, November 5, 2021. A loved and loving husband of Barbara, and the late Winifred. A respected father, father-in-law and friend of John and Sandy, Graeme (dec), Brian and Carolyn, Kevin (dec), Lisa and a devoted granddad and friend to many.
Rest in Peace.
Messages to PO Box 4041, Highfield, Timaru 7942. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Maurice's life will be held at the St Thomas' Catholic Church, Mountain View Road, on Tuesday, November 9, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Timaru Cemetery.

It was a privilege and a joy to have Maurice marry Barbara and become part of our family. He has been Grandad Mauri to our children and grandchildren and filled the role with humour, stories and generosity. He has given unwavering support and love to our mum and will be remembered for his love of sport, his terrible jokes, his sense of humour, his unbelievable recall of dates, times, statistics, his antics at the garden plot and his whistling...
