Mary GALLAGHER Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Anne:
Peacefully at Glenwood Rest Home, on September 15, 2021, aged 89. Dearly loved wife of the late John (JP), loved and respected mother of Peter and Jude, Barry and Keren (Auckland), Brian and Carol, and friend of Jill, loved grandmother of Kate and Mark, Matthew and Penny; Kristy and Scott, Jamie and Sheyanne, and her great-grandchildren Matilda, Harriet, Genevieve and Archie. Special thank you to Dr Ron Griffiths and the staff at Timaru Hospital and Glenwood Home and other caregivers for looking after Mary. Thank you also to Colleen, Marilyn and Raylene for your special care of mum, along with neighbours and friends at the Mt View Village. A requiem mass for Mary will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Basilica, on Friday, October 8, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at the Timaru Cemetery. I will always have lovely memories of 'Toodles'- one of Mum's much loved cousins. I remember her always being happy with a such a warm, sincere smile. So very pleased to have made contact with her again recently after many, many years and to have been able to provide her with a copy of part of her's and our family history. Condolences to 'the boys' and their families.

We have fond memories of great laughter and fun at Roxburough street and Otipua Rd watching mrs Jones and baby bro Matt performances. Also learning who was Gee bees, Pacey and Puds.??? Saddened today to hear of Mary's passing.
I feel privileged to have been her support worker for the last 12 months. Such a fun loving lady who shared many wonderful stories with me. I will never forget her infectious laugh and positivity.
