Mary Rose (nee Spring):
On May 20, 2023 peacefully at Strathallan Home, Timaru; in her 92nd year. Loved daughter of the late Mabel and William Spring (Seadown), loved sister of the late Esther Daly (Levels) and the late Leo Spring (Brisbane). Beloved wife of 62 years to the late Leo Matthew Brosnahan, farming together at Gapes Valley, Sunnybrae Otaio and Springbrook. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Kevin and Sue, Gary and Mary, Susan and Gary Hoskin, Neil and Niki, Barry and Pip, Trevor and Michella, Julian and Susan. Loved Nana of Brendan and Anoushka, the late Shaun, Shevaun and Mark, Tammy and Scott, Joshua and Bridie, Liam and Rebecca, Ryan and Katie, Lisa and Craig, Kelly and Michael, Zoe and Andre, Tom and Madison, the late Kes, Sam and Hannah, Riley and Taylor-Kate, Casey, Joseph, and Henry, and dearly loved Great-Nana of her 14 great-grandchildren. Mary's family would like to thank the staff at Strathallan and Wallingford for their care and Dot and Ian for their friendship. A Rosary for Mary will be at the Sacred Heart Bascilica, on Tuesday, May 23, at 5.00pm. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Mary's life will be held at the Sacred Heart Bascilica, 7 Craigie Avenue, Timaru, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Otaio Cemetery at 2. 00pm.
