Dear Margaret,
I was an international student who stayed with the Fahey family about 10 years ago.
I suddenly think of you and found this page.
Although it was a very short time, you always looked over me with loving eyes. Thanks to your and your family´s welcome and kindness, memories of NZ always make my heart warm and encourage me a lot even though it has been a long time.
I still remember how to say "me from Japan" in sign language which you taught me. I really miss you.

My deepest condolences.

So hard to believe you have left this world Margaret, your commitment to people who could not communicate through speech will never be forgotten. You taught so many of us that everybody has the right to communication, you advocated strongly for this and showed us by example.
Rest easy my friend, your work here on earth is done.
