Margaret MILLS Obituary
Margaret passed away peacefully at The Croft Rest Home, Timaru, on Thursday, April 24, aged 79. Beloved wife and soulmate of Roly. Mother and Mother-in-law to Nick and Suzi, Holly and Barton, and adored Grandmother of Ben, Finch, Olivia, and Lion. As well as cherished sister and sister-in-law to Elaine, Jenny and Don, Godfrey and Nancy, Alan and Adeline. A funeral for Margaret will be held at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North St, Timaru, at 12 noon, Thursday, May 1, followed by afternoon tea. Sincerest appreciation to the staff of The Croft for the care of Margaret in her final days. In lieu of flowers, Margaret's family would appreciate donations to Alzheimers Society South Canterbury (27 Strathallan St, Timaru) and may be left at the service

I was privileged to be one of Margaret's chemistry students at Queen's. I loved her lessons, she made learning and chemistry fun. She had the most wonderful energy and enthusiasm which was contagious. She touched many of our lives, whether she knew it or not. She was truely inspiring and compassionate and shaped the person who I am today. May you rest in peace.

Margaret is the reason that I teach today. An incredible Science teacher who I looked up to as a student and had the privilege to teach with at Queens High School. She brought out the best in everyone around her, be it student or teacher. Thank you, Margaret, for inspiring me.
