BATES,
Margaret Rosemary:
Peacefully at South Canterbury Hospice, on February 7, 2019, with family at her side. Dearly loved wife of Arthur. Loved Mum of Nigel, and Graham, and loved Grandma/Nana of Abbey, Molly, Sophie and Ella. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Elaine and Gordon (dec) Goodfellow, Alan and Dianne Bush, and loved by their extended families. A service to celebrate Margaret's life at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Rd, Timaru, on Monday, February 11, at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society will be gratefully accepted and can be left at the service. Messages to Bates family, C/- PO Box 4091, Highfield, Timaru 7910.

Grandma was Sophie's favourite person in the world. Ever since she was a baby, every gray-haired lady reminded Sophie of Grandma.
Sophie loves drawing pictures and painting for Grandma. When we were doing Xmas shopping, Sophie saw some yellow flowers and informed me that she wanted to give them to Grandma. For the rest of the day, every person she saw, she would show her flowers and tell them they were for Grandma.
Even though we live out of town, Nigel's and my girls always have a lot of love to give to Grandad and Grandma. Especially Grandma, and she will be deeply missed.
The girls and I are not able to be at the funeral, but I would like to send some love to Arthur, Graham and Nigel xxx

Dear Arthur, im so very shocked at Margrates passing although expected time doesn't stop.I had no idea she would pass so quickly please know I'm thinking of Margaret and yourself.
