Lynne Joyce:
Passed away peacefully on October 12, 2016, surrounded by family while her favourite Beatles music played in the background. Loved wife of the late Peter, cherished mum and mum-in-law of Damian, Aaron, and Christie and Wayne. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Ian and Joan Collin, Brian and Marie, Michael and Shirley, Terry and Dorothy, and Tony and Debbie, and the late Patricia. Loved aunty and great-aunty to all her nieces and nephews. Special friend and relative of Margaret and Ron Bateman. A funeral mass to celebrate Lynne's life will be held at the Sacred Heart Basilica, 7 Craigie Ave, Timaru, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Timaru Public Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Oncology Ward 26, Christchurch Hospital would be gratefully accepted and may be left at the service. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Timaru Hospital and Ward 26, Christchurch Hospital for all their care, (and "lovely cups of tea"). Dear Lynne
While the earth plane weeps in sorrow at your departure, the heavens rejoice. What is our greatest loss, is their most beautiful gain. And while the charter of your life has ended and the door has been closed, another magical door has beautifully been opened to welcome you back home. Through the beauty and richness of your being you have inspired and touched the hearts and lives of many. For the incredible friendship and kindness you gifted to my family, they and l are forever grateful, honoured and extremely privileged. Although life does and has to carry on, there will always be a special and uniquely beautiful piece missing not just for me and others, but especially for my mother and brother whom you graced so specially and gracefully with your presence. I thanku.
