Lochie LONGMAN-ROBERTS Obituary
As the result of a tragic accident on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Dearly loved son of Nicki Lysaght & Hayden Roberts, Brendan Lysaght, Staz Roberts. Adored brother of Holly, Katie, Jess and Steph. Loved uncle of Alfie, and Matilda. Loved grandson, nephew and a bloody good mate to many. A service in remembrance of Lochie will be held at The Bay Hall, Timaru, on Saturday, November 1, at 1.00pm. A huge thanks to Mount Somers Volunteer Fire Brigade for attending the accident, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Peel Forest Volunteer Fire Brigade would be greatly appreciated and may be left at the service. My sincere apologies to all of Lochie´s family and friends. He was a a very respectful young man. My eldest son (Niko) and Lochie went to Waimataitai and Boys High together. In August 2021 Niko passed away. We had him at home and we reached out to Boys High and invited the boys over we had a big group of boys come over throughout the day, seeing so many I haven´t seen since Waimataitai. I was talking to Lochie and I had to apologise and ask him his name and with a big smile he said it´s me Lochie. We had a good chat, it was really nice he came to visit and to spend some time to talk to me about some memories he had with Niko. I´m sadden to hear of his passing another young man gone too soon "one of the good ones" His big smile and his kind words are something I still remember. Thank you Lochie for the memories you shared with me, for they are what I carry with me. Love and prayers to you all.
