Lea'aetoa NIU Obituary
NIU, Lea'aetoa (Lea):
On February 2, 2021, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital surrounded by family, aged 55 years. Partner of Melissa and loving Dad of Rebekah and Josh. Beloved son of Poasi and Selai Niu, and son-in-law to Lyn and John Mansel. Much loved brother to Samiuela, Tevita Lautaimi, Kesomi, Loumaile and beloved sisters Neomai and Evalisi. Lea's family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at Christchurch Hospital Coronary Care Unit and ICU who were involved in his care. A service for Lea will be held at the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga, 11 Otipua Road, on Saturday, February 6, at 9.00am, followed by a burial at Timaru Cemetery. Lea, so sorry I missed your passing and your funeral. I have happy memories of working with you, listening to your stories of your younger days in Auckland and back in the islands. You talked fondly of your children and of course our shared love of music and the guitar. Thanks for your friendship.
