Condolences and empathy to Laurie's family and friends.
Laurie was a real character and always fun to work with in the Christchurch fire brigade. I am sure that he has left lots of happy memories to soften the sadness of his passing.

Hi Janette, the Fire Service network just notified us of Lawrence´s passing.
Please know that he will be remembered by me as the laughable, charismatic mate he was, not just on the stations and the trucks, but at McFarlanes where we had a lot of adventures together, along with Stan Harris.
My respects to you and all his loving family. He was one of my good buggers if that makes any sense.
The years have long gone since we last spoke but he hasn´t been forgotten and never will be.
Regards Alan Taylor
