To Anna and Matthew and families. So sorry to hear of Kate´s passing.I have long memories of her starting as neighbours in Gibson Street many years ago. Any time I have seen her over the years, she was always smiling and ready for a chat. R.I.P. Lovely Lady

I had the privelidge of working with Kath in Jean Todd Maternity Unit. Her skills and knowledge were inspiring and sense of humour alleviated some tense situations. Wonderful memories of a special midwife.

So sorry to read the passing of Kate. She was an inspiration to me as both a student and a new midwife. Her knowledge and skills I looked up to admired and respected. I have often repeated to others her words of wisdom she shared with me and often thought how so true her words where, Jo in midwifery you will never know everything, as there will always be something else present we are unaware of. She also shared some amazing midwifery stories that only a remote midwife could experience. Such dedication and passion. She touched so many lives, along with mine, may she RIP
