WILSON, John Valentine:
We are broken hearted to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of John, on Saturday, October 16, 2021, aged 70 years. Dearly beloved husband and soulmate of Chrissie. Much loved father of Elizabeth, and partner Richard, stepfather of Nathan, and partner Sandi, stepgrandfather of Jayda, Indie, and Lula. Brother and brother-in-law of Ruth, Andrew and Shona. Uncle to Juliet, and Sophie. Dearly loved nephew of Jean. Much loved and valued family member to the Dickens families, nieces and nephews and his loved cat companions Picasso, and Alfie. Special thank you to his main carers Leanne, and Camella, Doctor Ron Griffiths, and his medical team, Mr Boet, and medical team at Christchurch Neurological Unit, Burwood Rehabilitation Unit, St Johns Paramedics, and Timaru Hospital, for all your care of John over the last 3 1/2 years. A Service to celebrate John's life will be held at Aoraki Funeral Services Chapel, 160 Mountain View Road, Timaru on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 2.00pm. Donations to Neurological Foundation NZ would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to: 412 Wai- iti Road, Timaru 7910. Chrissie requests that people come and share their grief of John. The venue at Aoraki has two rooms that can safely accommodate 100 people in each.
